Peak power shaving in hybrid power supplied 5G base station

The Information and Communication Technology sector consumes approximately 3% of the world’s electrical energy due to exploding demand for internet service. most energy-intensive part cellular communications is base station, which there are about four million them deployed globally. As Fifth Generation (5G) wireless networks introduced, number stations will be growing in parallel with data traffic turn increase consumption station cater capacity. high-power dynamic overburden consequently reduce efficiency. In this paper, an energy-efficient hybrid power supply system a 5G macro proposed. It analysed that solar working conjunction conventional from grid, reduction poor quality observed as fluctuation greatly decreased. proposed model showed average grid by 14.9%. Furthermore, peak shaving 5kW; thus, reducing reliance on well increased system.
